Even More Value Created at the 2018 Winter Conference

By Heartland Dental

As a company of MORE, Heartland Dental always looks for ways to create additional value for supported dentists and teams. That was the thought behind this year’s Winter Conference. Each year, this event brings Heartland Dental supported dentists from around the country together to celebrate the year’s achievements and learn from renowned clinical leadership and business speakers. This year’s conference, taking place on December 7th and 8th in Orlando, featured the highest number of attendees ever, with over 1,000 supported dentists and guests.

The 2018 Winter Conference featured several prominent keynote speakers, including best-selling author and “strengths revolutionist,” Marcus Buckingham, innovative improv group, Second City Works, "endo extraordinaire," Dr. Diwakar Kinra, and Heartland Dental’s CEO and President, Patrick Bauer, and Founder, Dr. Rick Workman. A variety of mini-session speakers were also featured, including Heartland Dental supported dentists and leaders among other dental and business professionals.

Additional events also took place over the weekend, including a Doctor Mastery Program workshop, a celebration for company stockholders, and the Give More initiative – which donated more than 650 dental goodie bags to students at Tangelo Park Elementary School in the Orlando area. Also, the first-annual ScanMania event was held. During ScanMania, the top five qualifying team members in the company competed head to head to see who could complete the fastest dental scan on their supported doctors using the iTero Element® scanner. Over the past few months, these top qualifying team members were identified using scan time data. ScanMania was held in conjunction with Heartland Dental’s goal of helping all supported offices across the country implement iTero scanners for the benefit of their patients.

The weekend event culminated with the Doctor Holiday Party, an opportunity for all attending dentists to network and celebrate with one another. With a focus on creating a collaborative environment for supported dentists to share ideas and encouragement, Heartland Dental will continue to make the Winter Conference event a valuable experience for attendees in the future.
