For the 6th time, Heartland Dental has landed a spot on the Inc. 5000 list. This annual list is the most prestigious ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies in the country. To qualify, businesses must have been founded and generated revenue by March 31, 2012 and be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit, and independent (not a subsidiary or division of another company.) Businesses must have generated at least $100,000 in revenue in 2012 and at least $2 million in revenue in 2015.

“The Inc. 5000 list stands out where it counts,” said Inc. President and Editor-in-Chief, Eric Schurenberg. “It honors real achievements by a founder of a team of them. No one makes the Inc. 5000 without building something great – usually from scratch. That’s one of the hardest things to do in business, as every company founder knows. But without it, enterprise falls.”

Companies like Microsfot, LinkedIn, Under Armour and GoPro all got their first taste of national exposure as Inc. 5000 honorees. This year’s list had some familiar names like Yeti Coolers and Dollar Shave Club. Heartland Dental is honored to be on the list with fellow dental support organization, Pacific Dental Services, Inc.

“I think our continued growth, and the fact that two DSOs made this year’s list, means the stigma around dental support organizations is slowly disintegrating. People don’t know what they don’t know, and through education of what we do and how we do it, we’re helping to develop the industry,” said Dr. Rick Workman, Founder, Former CEO and Active Chairman of Heartland Dental. “It’s mind-boggling to see our ‘small’ company out of Effingham, IL reach milestone after milestone.”
